Date Events.
Setting Event Dates is a very important part of the Reservation System. It allows you to be reminded of upcoming events and also when processing online reservation requests.
To bring up the Calendar of Events screen , click on any of the date boxes on the main Reservation screen:

Recurring events are events that happen every year, or within a starting and ending year range. Understanding the way this works is crucial. Look at the following examples:
Thanksgiving is always on the 4th Thursday of November, lasts 4 days (Thursday - Sunday) is states that a reservation should be any 2 days with period.
Labor Day is always on the 1st Monday of September, is really only an the Monday (so Events Days is 1), the actual reservation weekend starts on the previous Friday (So Start Day is -3), and there is a 2 night minimum stay.
4th of July is always on the 4th of July, which can be any Day of the Week, depending on which year. If the 4th happens to be close to a weekend, then you might add an event for that year and have a required number of Minimum Stay Days.
The "Last day of July Event" happens only in 2008, for 1 day, and there are no minimum days required.
